The Idiot Bjerkness: Hitler infiltrated Communist Parties as a Military Intelligence Assignment
[Someone who clearly is a supporter of Hitler, brought up the issue that Hitler was in communist parties. That triggered a memory from stuff I had read about Hitler. See my reply below. Jan]

An award-winning historian charts Hitler’s radical transformation after World War I from a directionless loner into a powerful National Socialist leader
In Becoming Hitler, award-winning historian Thomas Weber examines Adolf Hitler’s time in Munich between 1918 and 1926, the years when Hitler shed his awkward, feckless persona and transformed himself into a savvy opportunistic political operator who saw himself as Germany’s messiah. The story of Hitler’s transformation is one of a fateful match between man and city. After opportunistically fluctuating between the ideas of the left and the right, Hitler emerged as an astonishingly flexible leader of Munich’s right-wing movement. The tragedy for Germany and the world was that Hitler found himself in Munich; had he not been in Bavaria in the wake of the war and the revolution, his transformation into a National Socialist may never have occurred.
In Becoming Hitler, Weber brilliantly charts this tragic metamorphosis, dramatically expanding our knowledge of how Hitler became a lethal demagogue.
Here is how I replied to the Reader:
And are you aware that Hitler’s original infiltration of communists was a MILITARY ASSIGNMENT? That he was working for the German Army? Leon Degrelle and others mention that.
As I recall, I would need to check, but in Leon Degrelle’s fantastic book, Hitler Democrat; he explains the transformation of Hitler. He explained that Hitler wrote an intelligence assessment about the Jewish role in the German defeat in WW1. His superiors were very interested in his assessment.
Hitler was given a military intelligence assignment to INFILTRATE POLITICAL PARTIES. His goal was to MONITOR ENEMY ACTIVITY. This is how he stumbled on the political party that he later took control of and used.
Leon Degrelle, who I might add was in the Waffen SS and even stayed with Hitler for a week during WW2, is a better authority than Weber.
I’m not sure if this is the same Weber who grabbed material that angered the people who founded what is now The Barnes Review. I’m not sure if this is the same Weber. But there was a historian, Weber, who did some things that angered other whites in the movement tremendously. This Weber was backed with MONEY …
In Guderian’s memoirs, he said that the actual decision by Hitler to enter politics was taken in 1919. Degrelle says the same. But initially, Hitler was not looking at entering politics, he was merely on a military assignment.
