Napoleon: There is no shortage of talented (European) people
[I posted a note the other day from Napoleon's memoirs where he spoke about certain things he did and also the problems he faced. And he said that there is no shortage of talented people (in Europe). This is something I've always been convinced of myself, and it was just good to see this coming from the mouth of a man who travelled almost every inch of Europe during his campaigns and wars and exploits. An American lady I know who was a lecturer once at a very famous American university wrote this back to me:
Yes, Jan, this is beautiful!
In fact, when I think of our people, I’m stunned at the extraordinary talents and capabilities they have – and usually the fine, good hearts they demonstrate, as well!
I love to gather our people together as "human floral arrangements" that I believe will work well in the community!
