Bill Gates Pumped $319M into Media Outlets – My Comments

[These wealthy people are doing propaganda all the time. They are dangerous. Jan]

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates pumped a staggering $319 million into several media outlets, an investigation has revealed.

Gates poured hundreds of millions of dollars into Big Media outlets and their related organizations all over the world, including CNN, BBC, NBC, The Atlantic, The Financial Times, and others.

The money was funneled to the news organizations via the tech billionaire’s Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in the form of grants.

The major investment was uncovered during an investigation by independent outlet MintPress.

MintPress obtained documents that reveal Gates distributed the funds in the form of over 30,000 individual grants.

Dozens of left-wing mainstream media outlets all benefited from the funding, which hasn’t been explained by Gates.

NPR was the largest beneficiary, receiving a whopping $24 million in funding.

The Guardian follows with a huge $13 million “grant.”

Meanwhile, CNN was given $3.6 million for, in part, its supposed “report[ing] on gender equality with a particular focus on least developed countries, producing journalism on the everyday inequalities endured by women and girls across the world.”

Gates’s funding has even stretched into Germany, with the outlet Der Spiegel benefiting from $5 million in funding.

Other international outlets that received millions from Gates include France’s Le Monde and South African outlet Bhekisisa.

In total, Gates has funneled $166 million directly to media outlets while distributing the remaining money to various media centers and journalism organizations.

The World University Service of Canada also received $12 million from Gates’s foundation.

Gates’s money has even flowed into Chinese media, with Caixin Media receiving $250,000 from the mogul and Tsinghua University benefiting from a $450,000 grant provided by the foundation.

Interestingly, many of the outlets that received the funding are also supportive of Gates’s pro-vaccine agenda.

In June, it was revealed that Gates also gave tens of millions of dollars to various Canadian pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

The Gates Foundation provided a total of $23 million to facilities like the Institut de Cardiologie de Montreal to “provide effective, accessible, scalable treatment for COVID-19.”

Other projects under the initiative include grants to Emerging Ag Inc. to “increase awareness and understanding of possible gene drive applications for public good purposes within international policy forums.”

The Gates Foundation has also given nearly $63 million to charities closely aligned with Big Media outlets.

Those donations include nearly $53 million to BBC Media Action, over $9 million to MTV’s Staying Alive Foundation, and $1 million to The New York Times Neediest Causes Fund.

While not specifically funding journalism, donations to the philanthropic arm of a media player should still be noted.

Gates also continues to underwrite a wide network of journalism centers.

Funding for centers totals just over $38 million, more than half of which has gone to the Washington D.C.-based International Center for Journalists.
