Information was immediately followed up and the 29-year-old male was detained for further questioning. Follow-up investigation on Friday, 15 May 2020 led members of the Mount Road Cluster Detective Trio Task team and the K9 Unit members to several houses in the Kuyga area where most of the stolen items were recovered. Police recovered Mrs Snyman’s diamond ring, 2 cellphones, a DVD player, a watch and a jacket. The suspect had already sold the stolen goods to several people.
